Recruitment and Hiring During COVID-19!

The health and safety of our team members, residents and their families is our priority! And, if you are wondering if we our still hiring, the answer is YES!

Our hiring process has changed due to the pandemic. Here are a few things you need to know:


The Human Resources recruitment team and hiring managers are using a combination of phone interviews, in-person interviews and video conference interviews. When the recruiter contacts you, they will explain the process in more detail. For everyone’s safety we are following the CDC’s social distancing protocols.

For In-Person Interviews:

Please understand that we are screening all those entering our communities. You will be directed by the recruiter where to go for your on-campus screening. The screening includes a temperature check and a few questions for you to answer. If you are scheduled for an in-person interview and are not feeling well on the day of the interview, please call the recruiter to reschedule the interview.

Is the COVID-19 vaccination required for employment at Presbyterian SeniorCare Network?

To comply with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Interim Final Rule, Presbyterian SeniorCare Network is requiring all team members in our care communities and Presbyterian SeniorCare Home Health (including contracted staff and others described below) to receive an FDA-authorized and/or approved COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment and/or access to our facilities or have a CMS approved exemption.

All team members are required to report their vaccination status and provide proof of vaccination.

Proof of Vaccination Status may include:

  1. CDC COVID-19 vaccination record card (or a legible photo of the card)
  2. Documentation of vaccination from a health care provider or electronic health record
  3. State immunization information system record.

Any new hire who is offered employment in Presbyterian SeniorCare Network covered entities who desires to apply for a Medical or Religious accommodation/exemption must notify the HR Representative who offered the new hire employment, apply for exemption and receive approval for exemption or accommodation prior to beginning employment. Requests for accommodation/exemption may result in a delay in the start date, if granted. 

New Hires whose request for accommodation/exemption are not granted will have their offer of employment rescinded.

New Hires for whom a medical or religious accommodation/exemption is granted with be required to:

  1. Wear a surgical mask (or higher protection including a KN95 or higher as determined by the clinical team) and eye protection at all times within Presbyterian SeniorCare Network covered communities while working indoors.
  2. Test at least twice weekly or in compliance with current testing requirements based on rates of community transmission at a Presbyterian SeniorCare Network testing location.

Team members employed by and providing services in the SeniorCare Network Supportive Housing or Middle Market Housing communities (Encore on the Lake) who are fully vaccinated or who choose to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to report their current vaccination status (if already vaccinated).  Any team member not fully vaccinated will be subject to the regular testing and face covering requirements of the COVID 19 Weekly Testing and Mask Policy for Supportive and Middle Market Housing.
